Vishnu Dev Sai, the new CM of Chhattisgarh state and former Chhattisgarh President of BJP, was born on 21 February 1964 in Bagia Village, Jashpur, Chattisgarh, and is known all over India as a BJP MP, MLA leader and the current Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh state. Vishnu Dev Sai is currently the MLA from Kunkuri assembly seat. He has also been an MP and Union Minister. Sai was the MP from Raigarh from 1999 to 2019, while in the first term of NDA, Sai also held the responsibility of Union Minister. He was given the charge of Union Minister of State for Steel. He was a minister at the Center from 2014 to 2016. Vishnu Dev has also been the BJP President of Chhattisgarh twice.

Vishnu Dev Sai has a clean image in politics. There are no criminal cases against Vishnu Dev Sai. Vishnu Dev Sai is a big tribal face of the state who has played a long political innings. He is considered close to former Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh. He is also close to the RRS Sangh.
Vishnu Dev Sai’s political journey started when he was elected unopposed as Sarpanch of village Bagiya. Vishnu Dev Sai started his political career as a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly between 1990–98, before Chhattisgarh was separated from Madhya Pradesh.
